Introduction

To fulfill its international schemes and statute objectives IKIU admits students from different countries of the world. Having advanced educational equipments and facilities and a qualified academic staff, with more than twenty years of efficient experience this University, provides a convenient place for the top students of different countries around the globe. Admission administration of the non-Iranian students of the university provides the applicants with the educational conditions and regulations for non-Iranian students for two categories, namely top and common, presented in a pamphlet. IKIU grants admissions to non-Iranian applicants, regardless of nationality, sex, ethnicity and religion based on the following requirements in a plan devised for two categories of common and top applicants: Top applicant: the applicant with a grand total of over 17 out of 20 who will be admitted based on the capacity of any field of study free from educational fees (as Top Admission Plan). Common applicant: the applicant with an average score of over 12 out of 20 who will be admitted based on the capacity of any field of study with paying fees according to table3, table4, and table5.

Admission Requirements

A.General Requirements

  • Capability of residence and studying in Iran
  • Filling out and signing the application form of studying in IKIU and attaching all documents mentioned in the form
  • Offering valid certificate confirming that the applicant is not infected with infectious and contagious diseases including HIV, hepatitis A and B, and is not addicted to any drugs and narcotics. The certificate must be confirmed and stamped by political attorneys or IRI consulates in applicant’s country.
  • Observing educational and disciplinary measures and regulations of the university.
  • B.Common Requirements (top and common applicants)

  • The applicants must have the assigned degrees to apply for different levels, as follows:

  • The certificate must be confirmed and stamped by political attorneys or IRI consulates in applicant’s country. (for applicants who have graduated from non-Iranian educational institutes.)
  • Offering the original confirmed mentioned document is necessary at the time of registration.
  • C.Specific Requirements for Top Applicants

    I.Any level (including Bachelor's, Master's and Ph.D.)

  • Any Top applicant must meet the score requirements mentioned in table1.

  • Any top applicant having received admission in EAP is supposed to get at least the minimum average score mentioned in table1 of specific requirements in any semester. Otherwise, he/she will be turned to common applicant and must pay educational fees.
  • II.Ph.D.

  • The master's degree must be relevant to the applied field of Ph.D.
  • The applicants with published books or printed papers, specially in internationally renowned magazines (isi) or domestic scientific-research magazines will have precedence.
  • The applicant's graduation must not date back more than two years.
  • D.Specific Requirements for Common Applicants

  • Any common applicant must meet the score requirements mentioned in table2.

    Admission Schedule

    • The last deadline for receiving applications will be 2009-05-31, declaration of results will be on 2009-09-01, and the beginning of the classes will be on 2009-09-23.

    Considerations

  • The instruction in IKIU is in Persian, therefore the applicants who receive final admission must attend and successfully pass three courses in Persian Language Center, namely Elementary Persian, Advanced Persian and Pre-college.
  • The Persian and Pre-college courses in Persian Language Center last one year altogether. For more information visit Persian Language Center website.
  • Applicants may take part in placement test and if they pass the test successfully, they can immediately start pre-college course.
  • The applicants granted admission for master's and doctorate are exempt from passing pre-college course.
  • The studying course for Bachelor's, Master's and Ph.D. is 4, 2, and 4 years respectively.
  • In no circumstances, the students may be a guest student in other universities or move to other universities.
  • The required documents for registration:

  • A copy of the most recent degree confirmed and stamped by IRI consulate in applicant's country. (Offering the original confirmed document at the time of registration is necessary)
  • A copy of detailed scores confirmed and stamped by IRI consulate in applicant's country. (Offering the original confirmed document at the time of registration is necessary)
  • A copy of the passport
  • A medical certificate affirming applicant's health (being free of any drug addiction, HIV, hepatitis)
  • Four pieces of 3×4 photos
  • Filling out the admission form in admission site of non-Iranian students of the university
  • The incomplete documents and the documents sent after the deadline will be rejected.
