The second phase of the construction of a drone aircraft with a nitro engine with the specific mission was successfully flown. Unmanned Aircraft Project (Cold 2) is the successful project of the air space team of Imam Khomeini International University, sponsored and supervised by the students of this university.

The overall profile of the drone can be two meters wings width, body length of 1.5 meters, body with metal, wood material. It employs a 1.6-horsepower 1.6-liter Nitro power take-off, using up-to-date control systems, with a range of 1.5 kilometer and a 500-meter flying roaming. The rectangular wings are used and to reinforce them composite rods are used.

The main changes made in the design of the main model cause it to be more functional, including improved flight performance and sensor carrying capacity, which is done by accurate software analysis.

The project took about three months, in addition to the construction of the drone, all the parts of its design and analysis in the aerodynamics, flight dynamics and structure are done with using the specialized software for each section in the most complete possible form by the active students of this team.

It is noteworthy that the team continues to operate in the third phase, which are more high class and advanced aircraft.
