Admission For non-Iranian Students

To fulfill its international schemes and statute objectives IKIU admits students from different countries of the world. Having advanced educational equipments and facilities and a qualified academic staff, with more than twenty years of efficient experience this University, provides a convenient place for the top students of different countries around the globe. Admission administration of the non-Iranian students of the university provides the applicants with the educational conditions and regulations for non-Iranian students for two categories, namely category 2 and category 3, presented in a pamphlet.

IKIU grants admissions to non-Iranian applicants, regardless of nationality, sex, ethnicity and religion based on the following requirements in a plan devised for two categories of 2 and 3 applicants:

Category 2 admission:

a number of the applicants with a grand total of over 17 out of 20 who will be admitted based on the capacity of any field of study free from educational fees. In case of using living services, these students have to pay for it.

Category 3 admission :

a number of the applicants with an average score of over 12 out of 20 who will be admitted based on the capacity of any field of study with paying fees according to table3, table4, and table5.

Admission Requirements

A.General Requirements
 

  • Capability of residence and studying in Iran.
  • Filling out and signing the application form of studying in IKIU and attaching the required documents.
  • Offering valid certificate confirming that the applicant is not infected with infectious and contagious diseases including HIV, hepatitis B and C, and is not addicted to any drugs and narcotics. The certificate must be confirmed and stamped by political attorneys or IRI consulates in applicant’s country.
  • Observing educational and disciplinary measures and regulations of the university.

B.Common Requirements (category 2 and 3)
 

The applicants must have the assigned degrees to apply for different levels, as follows:

  • The certificate must be confirmed and stamped by political attorneys or IRI consulates in applicant’s country. (For applicants who have graduated from non-Iranian educational institutes.)
  • Offering the original confirmed mentioned document is necessary at the time of registration.

C.Specific Requirements for category 2
 

Any Top applicant must meet the score requirements mentioned in table1.

  • Any student of category 2 having received admission in EAP is supposed to get at least the minimum average score mentioned in table1 of specific requirements in any semester. Otherwise, he/she will be turned to category 3 for all the remaining semesters and must pay educational fees.
  • The minimum GPA needed for first two semesters will be the average score of two semesters together.
 

D.Specific Requirements for category 3  Applicants

  • Any category3 applicant must meet the score requirements mentioned in table2.

Admission Schedule

  •   ــThe last deadline for receiving applications: 05/03/2013
     declaration of results will be on 20/04/2013
  •  the beginning of the classes will be on 23/09/2013

Considerations

  • The instruction in IKIU is in Persian, therefore the applicants who receive final admission must attend and successfully pass three courses in Persian Language Center, namely Elementary Persian, Advanced Persian and Pre-college.
  •  The Persian and Pre-college courses in Persian Language Center last one year altogether.
  • Applicants may take part in placement test and if they pass the test successfully, they can immediately start pre-college course.
  • The applicants granted admission for master's and doctorate are exempt from passing pre-college course.
  • The studying course forBachelor's, Master's and Ph.D. is 4, 2 and 4/5 years respectively.
  • In no circumstances, the students may be a guest student in other universities or move to other universities.
  • Simultaneous study of Non- Iranian Students in two educational institutions in Iran is forbidden.
  • If there will be any evidence that a student has studied at the same graduate level in Iran or has been expelled before, the student will be prevented from continuing his/her studies.
  • There is no possibility of changing field of study and getting discounts in payment.
  • The tuition paid by type 3 applicants is not refundable, upon cancelation once they have gone through the initial registration process.
  • If the ministry of higher education does not grand admission to type 3 applicants, 90% of the tuition is refundable.
  • If the accepted applicants of type 2 are suspended or make a request to drop out, after the final registration, they will be required to pay 50% of the educational fee of type 3 applicants 
  • The initial registration of non-Iranian residents is bound to having at least one residence or identity certificate as follows.
  1. Refugee certificate issued by police (Islamic Republic of Iran’s Police)
  2.  Valid passport
  3. Identity cart for non-Iranian residents issued by the office of Resident and Immigrant Affairs of the prefecture.

-  In any stage of the admission procedure if the conditions and specifications of the applicants are proved to be not in accordance with the conditions proposed by Administration of non-Iranian Residents and immigrants, the procedure will stop immediately.

  •  The Iranians with double nationality are not applicable. If any applicant is revealed to have two nationalities in any stage of the procedure, his/her application will be canceled.
  • The final registration and admission of applicants to the university is bound to going through the legal procedures concerned with exiting the country, and getting the passport with valid student visa.
  • IKIU is not committed to issuing residency permission for the family of the admitted (except their spouse and children).
  • IKIU is not committed to issuing residency permission for non- Iranian graduates. They are supposed to go back to their own country of citizenship after their graduation.
  • The Reception is valid only for one year.
  • Non – Iranian applicants are required to carefully study the admission regulations because no excuses regarding not knowing therules will be accepted.

  • A copy of detailed scores confirmed and stamped by IRI consulate in applicant's country. (Offering the original confirmed document at the time of registration is necessary)
  • The original bank receipt of the money paid in the name of University(based on the following table)for processing the documents regarding the degree (level) for which the student has applied :(irretrievable)
